Agriculture - Private Equity Opportunity

We are raising R50 million for Lucerne Agri and ANB Investments between (Sept 24-Dec24), to develop primary agriculture and protect existing crops. The investment covers 60+ farms, 3,400+ hectares, and 14 types of crop for diversified growth.

Lucerne and ANB are sizable farmers, multigenerational, vertically integrated and their primary focus is permanent crops, which are less risky than livestock or seasonal crops. They derive 35% of their profitability from farming operations, 40% from packaging operations, and 25% of their profitability from marketing/sales operations. The fund managers running this investment are one of the most respected and effective fund managers in South Africa, with over R5 billion invested with them and R10 billion AUM at present. The lock-in period is a minimum of 5 years. Payments are distributed in the form of annual dividends.

UK Fund is the fundraising and investment arm of a Large UK Property. Development Company. They are offering sophisticated retail investors a Loan
Note which is redeemable after two years. The capital raised via the loan notes will be used by them to develop residential and commercial properties in the United Kingdom, to sell after completion.  The reason they need the loan notes is to help secure property opportunities and progress the schemes as per their requirements and at pace. Investment is secured with a loan note and a first legal charge over properties purchased. The risk is diversified property development risk. There are zero fees incurred by the client.
